My name is Helen Fair-Mensik, I am originally from Wales, UK where I enjoyed many years renovating properties.  Five years ago I realised my dream and purchased a beautiful villa with pool on a lovely gated community in Davenport. I fell in love with Orlando on my first visit in 1998. Standing on main street looking at Cinderella's castle on our first visit to Magic Kingdom was an emotional experience. I couldn't believe that I had brought my children, then aged 3 and 10, to the magic that was Disney.

I vowed then that I would own my own home here one day. There were many reasons for my purchase. I love Florida, with the fantastic climate (we are a little short on blue skies and sunshine in Wales!), variety of activities which are so varied and much, much more than just theme parks plus exceptional value on shopping and eating out . The other reason was investment. I decided to stop paying into my pension fund and invested in a mortgage instead. I successfully marketed the property as a vacation home which contributed to the running costs and refurbishment. We have been blessed  to have some lovely people share our home with a number of these returning again.

In August 2007, following my divorce, I went to our Florida retreat with my son. Here I met my husband Marcel, who has lived in Florida for 9 years. We married on Clearwater beach in September 2008 and now live between Florida, USA and Wales, UK.

My professional  background includes running my own retail business for 5 years . For the past 9 years I have  worked on an employed basis and self-employed consultant for Chambers of Commerce and the Welsh Assembly Government. I have decided to combine my work and personal  experience of dealing with people, purchasing property in Florida, renting and marketing the property. I am on the doorstep of these beautiful communities and will personally view in order that you receive full and accurate  information on your investment. I have been in your shoes and understand that the right property at the right price in the right area is important whether you want to rent the property out or just keep it for your family and friends.
